THE 470 - History of the Cinema

Description: This course offers a survey of world film history (excluding Hollywood) from the 1890s to the present, with a focus on pre-1990 cinema. It covers the most significant and influential film trends and movements. We will examine a wide range of films, primarily feature-length narratives, and place them in their historical and cultural context.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisites: Not for credit if earned credit in THE 370
